Just one complaint from last night....

Oct 26, 2012, 9:00 AM

I know BV was livid about this too. How do you let that little #3 get open all night? 1 guy out of 11 and he is hardly shadowed.

He is a good player.

Good players make good plays from time to time. That guy killed us last year, it was good to see us contain him and tackle him quickly when he did get the ball.

Yeah the tackling was better last night

our guys were in much better position to wrap up last night. That is a trend that needs to continue. A lot of team tackling too. Wake's team speed may be a factor, but it was good to see and good re-enforcement under game conditions!

It was embarassing when the ESPN guy

was actually talking about Campanaro and circled him on the screen and NO ONE EVEN COVERED HIM! The closest defender did not even look his way!

sometimes even great defenses blow a coverage. With so many changes to our DB's I can accept one or two blown assignments with the way they played overall last night

I'm with you

He's literally their only capable receiver... So double-team him if need be. The guy was WIDE OPEN.

pretty good job covering him. Sure he got open a few times, but his biggest gain was what, 20 yards at most? We kept him out of the end zone and the only player for WF who did score was some bogus fullback that no one, not even the announcers, knew about. 42-13, up 35-7 at half, defense played it's best game of the season, and we're having complaints. Yup, this really is TigerNet. Sheesh people.

Relax

I think the original poster was trying to say that, on a critical 3rd & long, you should probably cover their best receiver.

He also prefaced his statement by saying his "only complaint".

I think he had a fair point, God forbid he points it out on here.

Chill out.

We played Wake Forest. It's okay to point out deficiencies even though we blew them out. It's not hurting anyone.
