I hope Cade is extremely successful.

I think he will be.
I watched 4 or 5 of his HS games live streaming on the net. He was as impressive as any HS QB I have ever seen. I posted on this board that it would not surprise me to see him win the starting job his freshman year if DJ struggled.
But, I also recall how excited Clemson fans, including me, were after DJ's first start in his career. (400+ yards passing at ND).
Fans are know to suffer from the cronic disease of "RBDS." (Recency Bias Derangement Syndrome)
I expect Cade to have a great game in Miami. But, I don't want to get so high that if he doesn't I'll start saying, "I hope Vizzina is ready to play next August."

"patience" is a virtue absent from most fans, especially after a couple of generational quarterbacks. For me, I don't expect miracles from CK2. I wouldn't expect him to have an "average" game against UT, and maybe get picked a couple of times if he continues to try to thread the needle like he did in Charlotte. He obviously trusts his arm, and his accuracy was pretty astounding (especially after 2 years of DJU5). All this said, he's got a lot of catching up to do... let's just remember that it's not his fault that he wasn't introduced to the game in week 3 or 4 of the season and then developed from there... but it is what it is. Let's be patient and give him time to develop.

Hehee. There is a reason for that.

Have a sinus infection. Then, on top of that (or maybe because of it), I had a ruptured ear drum on Monday night. Between the two of them sleeping has been hard to come by since then.

Thanks Brett. No worries, he’ll be fine. We have a QB now that can run our offense and we’re finally balanced (again).

Just his speed alone will open up more of the offense, and

then add in his accuracy. I don't think most realize those two traits, or lack thereof, have plaqued our offense for two years. Go Tigers.

You can't say that...if we have a WR room that gives us 20 catches with several long balls they won't be able to wipe that smile off your face with a case of SAMS toilet paper! For at least two years our WR room has been plagued by the same disease that infected the fans...noqbitis! Let's see what happens 1st.!

Agreed. I sincerely hope that we, as a collective fanbase, can put this chapter behind us. It was a chapter where we were rightly frustrated, but I feel that at times we cheered a little too hard for the backup to come in.
I hope we can be patient as Cade grows and I hope that the team can step up and makeup for the mistakes that he will inevitably make, just as they did with DW and TL.
For the coaches, I hope they can block out the noise when we do get frustrated and vent online. I hope they will devise the best gameplan to win with the tools we have and stick with it, yet not be afraid to make drastic changes when it's called for.
Go Tigers!

I think Cade will be fine in Miami. UT doesn't exactly have a good pass defense (127th in passing yards allowed). Top 20 rushing defense, but I think some of that was due to their offense, playing with the lead, and the higher scoring games they were playing in. Hopefully Cade's running ability can help offset that strength. I feel much better about this game with Hendon Hooker being out. We should be able to control the game and not get into a shootout. I would be much more worried if they were at full strength.
Cade will struggle at some point, but I just don't see that happening in the Orange Bowl, with a month to prepare and going up against a mediocre passing defense.
