Jets staffers wanted to draft Martavis Bryant

According to multiple members of Ryan’s Jets staff, frustrations ran high when the team didn’t pursue free-agent wideout DeSean Jackson and when pleas to select Clemson receiver Martavis Bryant on the third day of the draft were ignored. (The Jets drafted two receivers in the fourth round before the Steelers took Bryant, who had eight TDs as a rookie: Oklahoma’s Jalen Saunders, who was cut in September, and UCLA’s Shaq Evans, who spent 2014 on injured reserve.)

as a jets fan i cant even tell ya how pissed i was the jets didn't take him. first off, i thought bryant was worthy of a 3rd round pick. then when we passed on him twice in the 4th, oh my god. the steelers musta been laughing at us sooooo hard!

thank god our GM got canned, he completely ruined 2 seasons for us & still has us in an uphill battle to rebuild the roster. ugh.

thank god i can watch clemson when i need to watch a winning football team!

MB landed in a perfect situation for him - no pressure on him to be the top receiver and a quarterback who can throw the deep ball.
