I'm hearing that a few of the freshmen DBs are impressing the coaches but that Kearse is in great shape and is really showing out. Wouldn't at all be surprised to see him starting at NB from day one or backing up Smith at SS

It certainly helps that he is 6'4. The trendy thing is to have a lengthy outside receiver and Jayron certainly could match up well against that.
I'm stoked about him and MacKensie Alexander. Not to mention Travis Blanks coming back with more experience. Secondary was our weakness last season but I feel this year will be different.

would vie for playing time at SS. In his pictures, he appears to have a skinny upper body though, and I don't see a 6'5" true freshmen being a good enough tackler with enough speed, yet.

on the bottom playing against young men 5 years older in some cases.
i think that's the usual concern. he appears skinny and not well defined from his hs picks. hopefully, like blanks, he is on the fast track side of the bell curve.
