squarely in the a$$ from our interactions today.
Spring break is next week, and I invited my sister and bro in law and my niece and nephew to come up to the lake for a few days next week.
Not 30 minutes after I made the family comment to you I get a call from her..."Hey, just wanted you to know that we are trying to eat healthy so we are going to just bring our own food up for meals". Me--"Well, ok I guess but I've already bought a Boston butt and a brisket and a few other things I was going to smoke for dinner for everyone next week". Her - "That's ok, we will just throw a couple pieces of chicken on the smoker"
No, no you won't....that's not how ANY OF THIS WORKS!!!!!!

that you are eating and their relative health. Bad fat might not be as bad as you think it is. Pork has nutrients that are not in chicken. Have you ever seen chickens riding down the road in a truck? They are grown like that too.

he's got the whole pork butt mapped out and she's going to make him throw some chicken on their for the last what, hour, hour and and a half? And she'll obligingly taste a little piece of pork and wince visibly at the taste and fattiness and then later whisper something about how she's really glad she brought the chicken but it was a little overcooked.

You map out a menu and even go and pay for all of it so that you'll have nice meals and some leftovers for sammies, and literally a day before arriving they tell you "oh yeah, F all those groceries you just bought for us and plans you made and you're still going to have pulled pork left to pack up and schlepp home because we arbitrarily decided to go on some random diet that has us unable to eat anything that we've eaten our entire lives for the measly 4 days we're staying with you."
