College Football Will Never Be The Same

The last 10-15 years has been like a slow train wreck for college football with the consolidation of conferences. Traditions and rivalries are what made college football the greatest sport of all time in my opinion. Makes me long for those mid-November Saturday games in the 70's. Just another reminder that I am getting old. Sad day in my book.

years ago where he talked about they were at top of world and took for granted they could just grow grow. They forgot about their roots and now NASCAR is basically forgotten about.

I heard guys on XM wonder if CFB is on the same pathway. Is it going to eat itself?

I've made this comparison many times. NASCAR was huge. Money blew it up. Maybe college football's mass appeal and the loyalty of alumni and fans will keep it together until someone figures out how bad they've screwed it up and fixes it.
