In Saturday's game against Notre Dame, our starting point guard played 34 minutes. He had: 4 points (1/8 FG, 0/3 from three) 0 assists, 0 steals, and 2 turnovers. How is that even possible? Do we not have anyone on the bench that can fill those minutes?
Schieffelin had a team high 3 assists for the game.

Maybe Brad is over there playing chess and my simple mind cannot understand PJ Hall playing on the perimeter jacking up 3's in a game where we've been dominate down low. He also had zero assists...you know, if we'd start off possessions by getting it to him in the paint, it might open up some lanes for Girard to shoot 3's.
Girard should also shave his goatee so he doesn't look like a 9th grader trying to grow a beard....BUT THAT'S JUST ME

constantly moving. Down low then up top, then down low again. Obviously, they are getting a lot more open looks from up top. Opposing defenses sag in on both.
I think everyone, BB including, would love to work it inside more but easier said than done with opposing defenses working hard to prevent it.

really any time to set up the offense. Get down there, jack up a 3, and we're back on defense. The fact that PJ had zero assists tells me we're not even trying to work it down low, he should be able to kick it out at least a couple of times a game to an open guy.

fall in love with it. Still, 5-28 from 3 as a team against ND. Even a below average 8-28, wins that game. You can't hit em if you don't shoot em.

IMO we take a lot of bad ones though, highly contested early in the shot

it goes to an open Giratd. Though PJ shot a few Sat. early in the shot clock, and Beadle does occasionally.

The high/low game is good with those 2 in together...

we were looking inside the 2nd half and ND was defending it a lot better late in the game. PJ, Sheif, and Wiggins are all really good at sealing for high/low pass. I don't think we moved away from it per se...just was a bit situational and mixed with a few 3's too early in the clock.

I'm not defending this team at all, but have you seen other teams play?

I was watching a random game that happened to be on my TV the other day, it was BYU-Kansas, both ranked teams. Those teams were horrific shooting the ball and most all other areas. I don't watch many games that Clemson isn't involved in, but it seems that the product out there (w/very few exceptions) is pretty bad this year. Any given night, you can see pure suckage out there.
I mean, Duke and UNC are ranked Top 10, and I see nothing exceptional from those 2.

But Hunter wasn't really playing PG most of that game...

right?
Seems like Joseph G was bringing the ball down most of the time to the best of my memory.
Anyways...Chase Hunter has been playing really well down the stretch...ND game excluded.
