Going under the no-scalpel tomorrow, 20 minutes tops he says. I won't feel a thing and will be resting comfortably all weekend. Right?

If they didn't recommend a jockstrap for recovery, get one.

But also be prepared for an eyefull of cut dudes if you search for jockstrap on Amazon. These are not your grandpas fashion items anymore. Unless your grandpa was powerbottom.

You're going to feel fine after the first 24 hours, but do not shortchange the rest/recovery. Apparently this is where a lot of dudes go wrong. They try to get back to the routine and overdue it real quick, and end up lamenuts for longer.

If they offer you a valium, take it. Why not?

As for why? I thought I could be mr. tough guy and do it sober. Turns out I metabolize lidocaine like a horse eats hay. Not a great thing to learn mid-procedure. They had to keep pumping me so full with it my scalp was numb when it was over. Too bad my nuts weren't the same the whole time. Not great, Bob.

But overall easy peasy. Also you got B-your-L like 20 or so times in the next two months to clear the tubes so they can ensure it took. So make sure your wife knows she has a medical duty for Alan.
