It worries me that FSU got passed over this year....Does Dabo consider that in his decision? If so, does he think that the only way to get the natty is through the SEC or B10? Thank goodness (now) that the playoffs are expanding, otherwise, this could be Dabo's deciding factor! Even now, some "experts" are already leaving an ACC champion Clemson out of the 12 team playoff in their predictions for next year...This did not bother me nearly as much yesterday as it does today (after Saban news).

I am not sure how the ACC champ could be let out when the six highest ranked conference champs get an automatic bid into the playoff.

Yes, that is what they say...but they have already amended that to 5 conference champs due to the eight team conference requirement (Pac does not have eight teams). If things elsewhere change drastically again...there is no guarantee that a 2 loss champion will make it...we know stranger things have happened!

FYI Bama was not in the 2019 playoffs,
and 2018 mama was undefeated,

sorry typo, 2018 Bama (not mama, i should be more careful what key i hit on keyboard,, lol),was undefeated and played clemson who was undefeated for natty
so no Bama did not go to 4 team playoff with two losses, no team has made the 4 team playoff with 2 losses

That sounds about the way that it should be, but the idiots that makes the choices of who plays in the playoffs is made by the playoff committee, and they did show the nation that they will choose who they want to, and they don't care who likes it or who hates it, they will just do it even if what they do is wrong!!!

Don't know now if they were idiots or not...they may have had much more material at their disposal than we did...reasoning at the time seemed faulty...FSU saga has not ended...those injuns act down right uncivilized...they got spanked with a ruler by NCAA...Their resume was not as impressive as others except the undefeated part...some of this is our fault...Clemson was not ready to play Duke and others...that's on Dabo...we should have not had those turnovers...hangover from the DJ saga...WE should have been undefeated! FSU acts like spoiled children and should have been punished...stealing players without rules will kill college football...Saban was the first casualty...there will be more...Committee may have been much smarter idiots than we thought...Don't reward Thieves!

FSU Was not passed over. They were wildly overrated since the preseason; they were a little above average, but nowhere near top 4 team.
Everything I just said is subjective. The playoff selection process in 2023 was a subjective process. It was not an objective process like we see in the NFL.
If you want to see any remotely objective component of the selection committee’s process, look at their website, the committee posted their selection criteria way back in 2012.
Looking at their criteria, they selected the best four teams.
In the meantime, I enjoy FSU playing the victim card.

The overall picture that must be emphasized is that the committee took two, one loss conference champs over an undefeated conference champ...that is what matters, not who was better than anybody else, or who was injured or your pity party for FSU...I couldn't care less about FSU, but the precedent is what was important, and what Dabo could be looking at while deciding to take the job at Bama...that was the whole point of the post!

Agreed...FSU was marginal...QB OK at times, RBs mostly poor, secondary porous but they had good WRs and used them well...we should have beaten them...only good win was LSU opener and fake tigers played goofy! We need to step up this year...maybe they make the 12 but FSU will always have the mark of Cain...Norvell has the best team of individuals that money can buy!
