Is CU sweeping this under the rug AGAIN. Those now grown up murderers - did they graduate? I’m sure many of the “brothers” that protected them did. I was in that frat many years before this disaster, I guess most would rather drink and forget it… As for CU, just crossing your fingers won’t make this go away - better to be transparent than allow others to dictate the narrative.

No actually the university is located in Pickens county. Clemson university doesn't own tbe bridge or the waters in which this terrible tradgedy occurred. Participating in a TV show in which someone will monetarily make profit from this would be wrong. How about the producer commit to donated all proceeds to solving unsolved university crimes all over America?? Then maybe Clemson would consider it????

His death occurred while on a fraternity mandated run, right? And that fraternity is sponsored by the Clemson Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. So although Clemson certainly had nothing to do with causing his death, it did occur while on a Clemson-sponsored activity. So Clemson University does hold some level of responsibility or accountability.
With that said, I think it’s a smart move for Clemson administrators not to go on the documentary. It wouldn’t solve anything, and could hurt the university.

Just because he was a member of a fraternity doesn't mean tbe university has responsibility. Is that bridge considered on campus? I think legally the school has done everything they can legally? The university has allowed full access for professional investigators to investigate. A Nancy Grace type of show is not a responsibility of Clemson. The Hipps family has suffered an enormous loss and nothing can ever make it go away, but lashing out an a university is dumb. Professionals should be able to solve this. Someone knows what happened.

Clemson's liability lies in those participating in the event's reasonable safety, if this was truly a run signed off by the Admin. This seems to be the neglect of those on the run and Hipps himself. Unfortunately our justice system has became a system of feelings and not law so its hard to say Clemson holds some or none of the responsibility. It's a quite sad situation. We need to get back to Lady Justice in a blind fold.

The University met its obligation by cooperating completely with the legal authorities at the time it occurred. They have no responsibility for cooperating with a movie producer that has his own agenda.
