For anyone too young to remember and missed out

Oct 18, 2014, 7:44 PM

You have watched Danny Ford era games the last two weeks. Love CDF and friends with his daughter, he put us on the map. He had a thorn in his side named #### Sheridan at NC State. Meaning he had games against opponents we were favored that gace him fits. Dabo has changed the culture where we haven't lost to an unranked opponent in several seasons. Not an easy task.Dabo has done what CDF did in making this team blue collar and salty in attitude. Big props to Coach V, Dan Brooks, Reid and a majorly, unheralded with some fans, Coach Marion Hobby. When he left to go coach for the New Orlean Saints, our DE development went WAY down with Rumph the coot. Major props to our entire defensive staff. Props to Coach Chad Morris. He called a good game today. He implemented what he could to give us a chance to win with our QB abilities. With screens and tight ends. It's all he could do, give our QB a gameplan he could handle and not lose the game. This wasn't one of the few games he went Rob Spence and went conservative, he called the game he had to give us a chance to win. Hats off to Cole Stoudt for directing that game plan Good news, we should be ok the next few weeks and hopefully get DW back got GT.

I went to Chestnut Hill in 1983 to watch a very talented

Clemson team play BC. They beat the crap out of us - 31 - 16. We had better talent and that night they had much better coaching. Be thankful for Dabo. He is the complete package. He is a winner and he will never cheat or allow cheating.

Yep, I was telling someone at work this week

that our game last week reminded me a lot of games from the '80's. We won a bunch of close games back then by playing sound defense, not turning the ball over, punting well, and capitalizing on our opponents' mistakes.

Bull spit. We had a great running game

And opponents had about half as many possessions as Louisville and BC had.

touche', dagummit, our rushing attack was brutal and physical back in the day. Our O-Line was also better and more phyical than this year's OL Was more referring to the blue collar approach and winning with defense. Dabo has done a tremendous job and the few naysayers need to acknowledge the great job he's done. Get DW healthy, we can compete with the top tier.

Hey I agree completely. Dabo has us in a good spot. Just gotta work through some stuff. I do miss those old grind it out days, but it's also fun lighting up scoreboards. We are set for more of that with DW and also what we have coming in the next couple years. Just in a little rut at the moment. It's big that we can still win with struggles on offense though. Real big.
