They almost seem melancholy about Clemson's woes. Like they see the subconcious self-sabotage to clean house that's been going on.
No true team leader leads to demoralized team, leads to L's. Like they saw it happen with one of his children's baseball teams.

I liked the "identity crisis" point in explaining the red zone issues as well as the Coach K analogy.

I think part of that crisis is caused by all the "coordinators" we have...

Maybe I'm just old school or something, but there should be a HC, an OC and a DC. They report to the HC and the position coaches report to the coordinators. With our staff almost every phase of the game has a coordinator. When its an obvious passing down, does it fall on Riley or Richardson? When the D can't stop a run on 3rd and short, is that on Goodwin or Eason? Maybe part of the crisis is because nobody knows who is supposed to be doing what.

Nearly all of our position coaches have significant Power 5 championship level experience. The school just says Clemson instead of [fill in the blank of any other Power 5 program].

Good stuff. I can assure Dabo will not publicly admit he was wrong about the portal. Hopefully he will make the change end of season though. I think there is a chance he doesn't and doesn't change any staff too. Going to be interesting to watch. Thanks for posting that.

I’ll be extremely surprised if there aren’t staff changes. As for the portal, it will come down to whether the right guys are available and want to come here.

but has to find the right fit and have a need, AND an available scholarship. He won't start running guys off and I think he's right to do it that way.

through the portal. And to tell me that there are no fits, give me a break. Lots of WRs are making impacts at other schools. I'm sure there are some high-quality folks that he could have gone after.
