I love the new scoreboard. It is awesome. Money well spent perhaps. However, I would have much rather seen Clemson use that money towards the seats. The old school bleacher seats are very hard on people's backs. As someone who suffers from back pain, I'd love to see this issue addressed. I'm not saying we need stadium seats all around the stadium. But why not simply put backs on all the seats? Similar to what the top row in the North lower deck have (I was seated just one row below and no backs) There is no reason not to have these on all seats. Most college stadiums already have this. And this will do wonders for us older folks with back problems. Got a chiropractor appointment in the morning. Go Tigers

you think they’ll put new seats in for free? especially since it would decrease the capacity of the stadium some more? it would cost more, but hey, it would save you the hassle of renting a seat back.

Not sure and could be wrong but don't the first few rows of the upper deck have metal seat backs. It always appeared that way to me. If so why did they stop there?

It would decrease the number of seats for sure, but would allow for a higher price to be charged. If demand exceeded supply, there is a ton of room to add on to the stadium in the future.
Sorry you’re having to deal with that.

As in each ticket gets its own seat that has a back and folds down.
If it’s good enough for Littlejohn, it should be good enough for Death Valley.
If stadium seating isn’t an option, we should at least put metal seat backs on the current bleachers. Asking people to rent seat backs is lame.
Clemson should provide a nice, comfortable atmosphere for fans. We go all out for the players and coaches. Why not the fans?

It costs $58 per seat to rent a seatback for the season. It's worth it both for comfort and to define our space when extra people try to crowd in our section.

Put in actual seats. Reduce capacity to 70,000 and charge more per seat. It’ll be a while.

I was told recently they are adding backs to my seats in the upper deck. We’ve been buying the seat backs for years not because I really need them but they do define your seat space.

To raise money for a seat back rental with hopes of achieving enough donations for box seating. We’d have to all put our names in a hat to get a rotation of which Tnet members will get to sit in Ironcat’s box for each game.
