he has been backing up to the pay window the past few years because if I were him I would have trouble looking someone in the eye getting paid for no better results than we have had.

I believe Leggett's contract pus him approximately $400 k/year (or even a little more...

He also generates revenue through other streams such as camps etc.
He has made plenty of $$$ of of his coaching position to graciously drift away into the background after this season and not ever worry about $$$ again; especially in a place like Clemson.
