Junior Johnson had a chicken farm (in 2K's area). I raced the Brushy Mountain Marathon a few times which went by there, the odor was strong.
It ended at the VanHoy farm (Union Grove Old Time Fiddlers' Convention).

I have gone to races there and at Wikes. Back then racing was more fun as they used real cars you could buy at a dealer. Now all the cars are the same and are not "stock cars".

December 28th, 2019, I was in the delivery room waiting for my youngest daughter. Luckily my wife wanted the Fiesta Bowl on the TV. As she powered through, it seemed like I was headed for one of the happiest moments of my life, but our Tigers were headed for defeat. J.K. Dobbins went for 68 yards to put the O-31-0 State up 10-0 early in the first quarter. Later, and just moments after my little girl was born, Etienne took a 3rd quarter screen pass 53 yards to the house and the comeback was in full swing. My wife is a trooper and somehow, we only missed a handful of plays watching that game live. Still one of my favorite games to rewatch and I look forward to watching it with my daughter one day.

O.J. Howard and Jalen Hurts took advantage of a busted coverage to put Bama up 24-14 in the 2016 Natty. That play, the surprise onside kick, and a rare KO Return TD amounted to too much to overcome. The Tide couldn't stop us forever though - 4 to 13, 35-31, the mountaintop was reached and the trophy would come home after 35 long years baby!
