Here is my End Game for CFB Alignment and Playoffs

SEC: Adds Clemson, UNC, UVA and FSU. Total of 20
B1G: Adds Oregon and Washington. Total of 18. (Possibly Notre Dame and Stanford make it 20)
B12: Adds ASU and Arizona (plus maybe Cincy and Louisville). Total of 14 (or 16). I could see them adding more
The remaining runts of the P12 form something with all or some schools in the Mountain West
The remaining runts of the ACC form something with all or some schools in the AAC
The CFB increases to 8 teams (or 12 teams where the top 4 get a bye week)
The revenue disparity between the big 2 and everyone else is going to explode in two years. Each successive year will further widen the gap between the top 40 and everyone else. The big 2 become a blatant farm system for the NFL as the professionalization of CFB is no longer hidden. The term "student athlete" will become a term of sarcasm.
The athletic budgets of schools in the big 2 will be (easily) fully funded and their "lesser" sports will prosper like never before.
For school outside the big 2, many will be forced to reduce sports programs. Unlikely Doomsday scenario: This causes the best athletes in nearly every sport to migrate to the big 2.
Tell me where you agree and where you think I'm wrong.

For the most part everyone has accepted that this the general path.
Specifics may vary. I think the key is who/how many to the majors, and I think Fox/ESPN are calling the shots more than most realize. I could see an ACC/B12 merger.

Exactly my friend. Add this for the interest of 50% of the "viewers" who gamble on these games. It sux, but it is what it is. Business is business.

SEC has no use for them at all. Just another mouth to feed that would reduce the per team revenue payout from TV.
IMO, OK State being separated from OU will devastate their sports programs big time.
Their last gasp was staying latched on to OU. Considered on a standalone basis, they bring nothing.

The SEC & Skanky are hail bent on controlling college football,

so they may as well take Clemson, FSU, Miami, GaTech, UNC, NC State, UVA & VaTech, making it a 24 team league and locking up the entire NC, VA & DC markets. They could even put the former ACC schools, UGA, Usuc, Florida and Tennessee in the newly configured East division! Wouldn't that just be splendid!

I see the big 2 having 24 teams each in them, but they will only add 2 teams every couple years to renegotiate tv deals as market changes. So we can only hope clemson is in the next group of two.

Essentially turning into a very bloated version of the old Big East, with Miami, VT,Cuse, Pitt and BC going back.

It will happen. The AAC has to replace UCF, UH and Cincinnati because they will join the Big 12 in 2023.

Agree with most ...

I would add: - The Big 2 will work out some type of provisions where a large chunk of ESPN/FOX SPORTS funding goes to top and to a lesser extent all scholarship football players as NIL payments. This extra $50M of funding is another separation between the Big 2 and runts. - The balance of funding, as you state, will be used to fund baseball, basketball, and balance of teams - Big 2 possibly expands full football scholarships from 85 to 95 to increase gap between Big 2 and runt schools. - The runt conferences will lose the ability to fund Title IX sports and cuts will be large.

Interesting topic: Impact on Title IX sports in conferences not called $EC and B1G. Wondering if that triggers a law suit. The only way to stop the insanity (money grab by E$PN) is some type of law suit or law suits. Something needs to stop this insanity.
And can we stop calling these "conferences"? I'm having a hard time envisioning a 20 team "conference".
This is a succession from the NCAA - plain and simple.

IMO, this is most definitely a succession plan

I don't believe the NCAA will cease to exist right away. People probably aren't ready for that (including the B1G and ACC). However, that is coming in a few years.
Not sure where you are going about a lawsuit stopping the TV networks. They are immune from this. I could see Title IX lawsuits (and threats of a lawsuit) affecting which sports are cut from non-B1G/SEC schools. They may be forced to cut an equal number of men's sports to women's sports or something like that.
