I smile when I think about it... His chickens are so bad and our Tigers are so good.

I don't read his articles anymore. A few years ago he wrote an article which said Clemson would never win the ACC or even go to a BCS game. When Dabo was hired as head coach another of his articles said Clemson hiring Dabo was a mistake. I guess he was more impressed with Coots hiring spurrier. If he still writes I don't notice his articles. Not sure why local papers hire and pay writers to bash local teams. It's not a formula I enjoy and current newspapers distribution reflects consumers not liking what papers print.

a few years ago. I couldn't stand the bias of the sports section or his articles.
Clemson was always below the fold and had a small picture if any at all. Meanwhile chicken U was above the fold with large picture(s) no matter what they did.

Only mention on the P&C Sunday front page of Clemson's historic win over Miami was three small-type lines below the fold . . . Really? Must not have had sufficient time to write more due to press deadline from the noon kickoff time!

Coots have enemies everywhere according to the Steve Quittier , but apparently Clemson does as well .
The difference is of course , that Clemson's coach is realistic and focused ...and the Coots don't have a coach because he wasn't either of those things .

No, I haven't and how about the local TV sports announcers? They crack me up, I don't think any of them have ever played a sport of any kind and seem pretty clueless.

I still subscribe to the P&C and read the Sports Section including his columns. I get a bumper sticker occasionally for out pick-in him in the pick-em contest also. It does seem like he might sometimes skew his articles to lean slightly against the Tigers: But I figured it out: When he was young he asked his mama "How come Danny Ford lead Clemson and his team to a National Championship and all my beloved Chickens have ever won was a 1969 ACC title, but even then lost in the Peach Bowl?" And his Mama said: Cause all dem Clemson Coaches, Players, and Fans are "Da Devil". He has never gotten over it!!
Full Disclosure: Bobby Boucher had a half brother named Gene who has since changed his last name to Sapakoff.

side his bread his buttered on. Even coots do not want to read much about their team. And many coots are now faux tiger fans or have completely become turncoots! Hardly see coot gear down here anymore, but see lots of TIGER gear, and talking to some of them, it is obvious they are making transition from SEC to ACC grudgingly. One wearing a Death Valley t-shirt said he thought Alabama was going to win Nat.championship and that he hated Dabo! Another one all clad in all kind of Tiger gear went against the Dabo rant, by claiming, "well you have to remember the 5 straight losses!" Some other strange characters I have seen in Tiger gear are alcoholics who go to the same bar I have been going to for years. They had never worn Tiger outfits before, and I wish they would not now - not good reps for CLEMSON! GO TIGERS!
