my extent of biking is doing 15 mi up the swamp rabbit and grabbing a beer then returning, do this about every 1-2 weeks with some friends during good weather. Have an old second hand mongoose walmart special that I used, brakes were "sus", had coban wrap around one of the handlebars to keep the rubber together, etc....

Just picked up a Haro V3 mountain bike on neighborhood for sale site for $100. looks brand new.

How'd I do? Haro a good bike?

Haros were incredible BMX bikes in the 80s.

Branched off late 90’s (I think the brand was sold to a conglomerate) and they’ve had some decent bikes since then, and some built to a price. I’d say you needn’t worry about the frame, but the components and wheelset on it will decide if it was a good purchase or a steal.

Either way, if it works, a name brand bike for a hundo these days is nothing to regret.
