said they would play corner at Texas. In his defense, their corners do look pretty athletic, so he is a great evaluator of college cb's. Vince Young and Colt McCoy literally landed in his lap.

They passed on Luck, Manziel, and RG3… all Texas HS players, to get Garrett Gilbert and Case McCoy. Gilbert transferred to SMU and McCoy is nothing special. That defines the last couple years for Mack Brown, unfortunately.

It starts back in 2007 when they took GJ Kinnie, who wound up to be a fairly good QB at Tulsa, when Ryan Tanneyhill and Nick Foles were passed on. Poor evaluation has killed them.
