till I saw some NFL footage of him. Tough guy and a good player,. Glad he saved Dabo's life and what was Dabo thinking that day?

Some people should feel a little off for there earlier complaints. To top it all off, Turner will be a good one for us too.

Why didn't Alabama give his son a scholarship?
Jan 24, 2016, 1:35 PM

What doe any of that have to do with Clemson giving a scholarship? How many time did they say roll tide 13 days ago during the game? What about the kid that deserves a scholarship, but is first man out because we are out of scholarships? What about quality depth at that important position?

Who really cares what Alabama does or does not do. This IS what Dabo Swinney does for Clemson and this young man

After wiping my eyes & blowing my nose a few times, I just have to say shame on you for those of us who knee-jerked without knowing and questioned / criticized this decision. In a world riddled with liars and cheats, loyalty and friendship will always be highly-esteemed. Our coach isn't just the best in the land for his understanding of the game or his leadership qualities, but also for what he does off the field. If this story didn't touch you, you'll never have enough heart to understand the decision, but I find it commendable. It's things like this that people rally around and form unbreakable bonds. And Dabo being the man he is, he'd never divulge the reasoning for his actions, (he doesn't have to), but to Rachel Baribeau - thank you for sharing this story. And Nolan, you've already got a fan in me! Go Tigers.

You Said it Best

You said it so well. Building a team and having a lasting impact on the young men in your charge includes many things, and Dabo's devotion and loyalty to his friend and teammate teaches lessons in ways that none of us outside the football building may ever understand. On top of that, this young man shows real potential. Stars are great, but, passion, devotion, work ethic, commitment and loyalty are more important in my opinion. Moreover, this kid could end up being a very strong player.

not just a game and Dabo's contract negotiator knows it. At Clemson, it's a business. And this was not a good business decision, period.

You don't know how wrong you can be. This could be the best and biggest decision he has made. Absolutely nothing but good will come of this. This young man will fight for his team and be as loyal as he has been shown. His father is fighting for his life and he will fight for Dabo

this could be an amazing one. The PR will be amazing over the next few years. I know Dabo did it for other more altruistic reasons, but this isn't a bad business decision.
