We can be excited for team AND want a coach to take us out of mediocrity.
14 years, we know what he can do - and what he can’t.

Finishing 6th in the ACC regular season and then getting spanked by a much worse team by 21 in first ACC tourney game. Never winning tourney, seldom winning any game in tourney. Getting to dance every 4/5 years. Having his best player during his tenure leaving along with others - defines mediocrity.

What are the specific things that you believe Brad has done that does not make us at best mediocre? What has he won?

8 different schools have won ACC tournament since Brad stared at Clemson. Half the league. That puts us below half - again - not even mediocre - that would be below average.

I know it really sucks that we were the only D1 team to lose badly in our conference tournament just like Kansas and Kentucky and Midlands. But like us, they don't have good coaches.

Where there is no answer to why to retain Brad, you simply try and change the topic.
Facts, we lost by 21 to an inferior team.

- We are 21-11 in the ACC
- We were the 6th seed in the ACCT of 15 teams
- We are the 6th seed in the NCAAT
- 35th in the NET
- Landed Joe Girard III (JJ Redick Lite)
- Beat UNC in Chapel Hill (only home loss)
- Beat Bama in Tuskisloose (TNet salivates over their coach)

Yes, we had some bad losses. Almost everyone does.
- Lost to GaTech but so did UNC and Duke
- Lost to BC in ACCT and no excuse
- Lost to ND pitifully
- Lost to Miami which was good 11-2 team before injuries

There should be over 100 coaches losing their jobs if what we accomplished is miserable.

Since you tried to make a case.
14 years of the same.
Never rising out of mediocrity. Not a bad year this year, absolutely agree with you. But when you put 14 years together, nothing stands out or shows Brad is the guy to take us anywhere.
We lose the best player we have had in years along with a recruit you brought up. Brad has rarely developed a talent. Mostly one and done transfers.
I just don’t see what stands out that says Brad figured it out. I welcome someone else getting a chance.
What other school would be ok with 14 years of not contending for tournament title?
Even if we lose more games for a year or two - at least we tried something. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result - is he defination of insanity.
