The best HS FB team in SC!! They are in the 2nd highest division in the state, but htey could beat any team in SC. Many blue chip recruits

basically Goose Creek High, had info filed on them from either another school, or their own clerical staff (that has been kept private)...
in regards to a fifth year athlete....supposedly the school which he transferred from....did not notify Goose Creek of his playing there (in 9th grade)
anyway....he played a total of 20 snaps in 5 games....
since being reported to the SCHSL...(which is like SC NCAA and takes forever on rulings)...SCHSL has now told Goose Creek they are ineligible for the Playoffs....season over....
so instead of punishing the clerical person..or the people that should have known this happened....you punish a team full of innocent young men....not to mention ...the poor kid that is involved.....
bottom line....folks contact your legislature....the SCHSL has forever been in need of an overhaul....they have unfathomable amounts of money in the bank..similar to NCAA.... they have a very small enforcement staff..that only goes and checks on things at schools when they get word of an issue...they in fact govern high school athletics in this state...which is very needed....but they system in place is the same one that has been in place for ages....they have not changed with the times.....they need to hire more staff....to oversee....they only have one office....in Columbia...no Upstate offices..no Lower State....if you want to file a complaint over a game....a school is required to go to Columbia to do so....if there are eligibility questions...there is often a long wait for an answer.....they should also be required to not only educate their role to schools but also to parents....so that when students to change schools or transfer....that parents are aware of rules and consequences ...now or later on....they also need to do more in regards to sportsmanship....and as far as safety...they need to fund more themselves....towards training and rules.....rather than putting that burden on money poor schools districts....

I am a Conway High Grad and played football there. We have a very dtrong tradition. I think this is a travesty and just plain crazy. I know Conway will play the game if told to but I wish they and the other teams involved would stand together and some one would use there brains and stand for what is right! ( Chuck don't do it do not play this game!) Lets go Goose Creek! This time!
