You can't be serious. FSU couldn't raise the $50 million exit fee from the ACC if they sold their campus! And their President voted to raise it to that ridiculous figure just last year. They're 100% committed to the ACC, just as Clemson is. What we need to do is forget about leaving and learn to dominate. Only then will we fans be content. That is certainly "do-able;" and we're not far away at this point. But before everybody slits their wrists over this "4 in a row" deal, we need to realize that Spurrier has built a good team down there in Columbia. Yes, he's a jerk and if Clemson hired somebody like him I'd quit following the program. You just can't be proud of having a coach like that. But give the devil his due; he's turned the South Carolina program into a contender. That being said, players like Clowney don't come around very often. That the reason they make millions of dollars per year playing in the NFL. Take him out of the equation and it was a different ball game. Granted, we'll still have to face him next year. But our guys will be a year older, and much better, in 2013. Keep the faith. We're on the right track. It just takes time. But it will be worth the wait. Go Tigers!
I am fairly certain FSU's president was one of the two

presidents who voted against raising the exit fee to $50 million. That would be an argument that they were not, and are not, committed to the conference. Nevertheless, I agree that can't raise that kind of money right now.
