They don’t belong over Alabama, they aren’t a better team without Jordan Travis.
You put FSU with Alabama’s schedule, they don’t go 13-0. Maybe even with Jordan Travis in all 13 games.
Hate it for them, but you can’t expect a 3rd string QB to go and compete in the playoff well enough.
I feel like the committee took some responsibility by placing Georgia and FSU against each other. Because is FSU wins, it’ll be clear and evident to the world that they were wrong. And that’s their way of taking ownership for a potential mistake by not putting in FSU.
But I’m sorry, I do not share compassion for FSU that all of you do for some reason.
You can mention struggles for Bama this year, but FSU struggled vs BC and Miami.
As many of you that like to beat down on Clemson’s own struggles, FSU barely won against Clemson.
Also, Alabama is really the best team if they play like that from here. You can’t say because Georgia lost, that they just weren’t as good as they have been. Alabama is still there.

Alabama played three cupcakes, a bunch of SEC bottomed dwellers. LSU, Texas, and Georgia. They got beaten by Texas at home. Florida State beat LSU.
Alabama had their playoff game in September against Texas and they lost at home . The college football committee just took the money and told everyone that games don’t matter.
Florida State had its Playoff game early in the season against LSU away from home and they won.
Florida State played two SEC teams and beat them. They beat the best of the ACC. Don’t see how Alabama can claim anything for strength of schedule other than their role of being a spoiler to Georgia and keeping them out of the playoffs.

Look at their wins over Arkansas and Auburn.
Sure, they beat UGA. That is what it is.
But apparently they are the only team in America that has gotten better since earlier in the year.

It literally has already happened one time before—OSU in 2014. Horrible take. Rodemaker would’ve been back and had a month to prep. Their defense would’ve kept the game competitive. FSU should’ve just lied about Travis’s injury and they’d have been in. The SECs best OOC win is against… top 15 Louisville, who FSU just beat with a third string QB.
FSU got screwed. There is now way around that. More than that, the ACC got screwed by NCST administration TWICE in the same calendar year.

Yeah Florida’s awful. Worse than Louisville.
FSU’s surrounding support is good enough for them to skate by Florida and Louisville with backup QBs, but not any of the playoff teams selected.

You cannot assume wins and losses. Thats what we do in the preseason. If you use that as an argument against FSU then why even play the games?

They play the games to get where they are.
Why would any FSU fan be completely disappointed?
Talk about appreciation. They haven’t done what they did this year in a while.
And they won the last 2 games without Travis (BARELY). They should be grateful to have an Orange Bowl opportunity against Georgia.
It can help prove their potential for future playoff selection if they actually beat Georgia.

i’m a freaking clemson fan. it’s about the integrity of the game of football, and watching it fall apart in real time. if doing the absolute best against your available schedule and earning a perfect season isn’t good enough, why play the season to begin with? that’s what i’m getting fired up about
