Since they would be eligible to enter the NFL draft after completing their junior year.....why not build up the money during your junior year officially.....then at the end of that junior year they can decide to stay or go. If they stay....then they have somewhat a nice money pot to keep building on until graduation. If they decide to go... then they can take their bag and their reputation and go.

Any thing beyond what a typical student could earn per year, say $30 k, should go to a deferred plan until graduation or age 25.
