Fell off this recruits story and am looking for an update.. When is this kid to make his announcement and where do we stand in the grand scheme of it all?

Probably going to be a Signing Day special just based on the timeframe of his visits. It's like he's redoing the whole recruiting process over the course of a couple months. Sure would be nice to see him in Clemson orange though. We've got as good a shot as any right now. Texas is his #2 and I think LSU would have a better shot had his official taken place on a home game weekend for them. If we have Venables on him as the lead recruiter I'd feel good about Fields signing with Clemson, if it's Danny Pearman...not so much.
