But now that this is out - whether right or wrong, accurate contextually or not, etc - what are we to do ?
Let's say we want the 4th dude - if we offer, we are caving.
Let's say the 4th dude is marginal but we could use him and offering him gets us the prize ....
Let's say we don't offer him because of principle - and Dabo has an outstanding track record of standing his ground when needed ...
Let's say we don't offer him because he isn't what we want ...:
And lose RN ....
EASY to say "Let em go" as armchair qb's .... But RN IS a game changer ....

outsiders think.
Personally, I hope Dabo offers the safety and then goes on another rant. Regardless, I trust that he'll make his decision on offering the kid without fear of what outsiders think or say.
This recruiting business is totally out of hand. Disgusting.

Clemson is the dog and having the media wag the dog here is just as bad a having an 18 yr old lay down his thang. I don't for one minute believe that RN made any demands or tried to cut a deal.
Which tail should Dabo let wag the dog? Neither. He will do exactly what is best for Clemson in the short and long run.
You and I will not be privy to anything but the outcome.

even giving him a look.
I wish he would come all of them and all be gamers!
I dont care what the media says. They dont like a non sec school getting top ranked talent. They would find something to cry about.
Go get 'em Dabo.
Go Tigers!

classroom. He may not be willing to work hard enough at this level. Or, he simply may not be as good as billed. We've missed on highly rated players before. Then you have 2 wasted scholarships (from a football standpoint).

He could get injured. The rest of that is tripe.

He can do the job on the field and he'll do the classwork too. How many we had in the last ten years to flunkout after enrollment?

Look, Dabo and crew do a tremendous job of bringing great young men into the program. But the point is, RN hasn't played a down, and while I agree with you that he looks like a safe bet, we never know until they get here and hit the field and the books, and we don't throw away schollies in this situation. That's not tripe, it's a fact.

End of Discussion.
And he looks like Brian Dawkins on his film so I'm fine signing him. He's from a championship pedigree and it will further solidify our family atmosphere all working towards the same goal.
We're thin at Safety anyway and this kid is blowing people up on the film.
