caveat (for the bored coots - this means "if what we assume is going to happen, happens"): The offense makes a productive turn and becomes a threat.
If our offense is a threat to put 40 on the board, like we were in the Deshawn and Trevor years, the defense can change the way it attacked the other team.
They can be more aggressive They can play more free because the game doesn't depend on them - because the offense can score The other team has to play different defense because we're always a threat - the last 2 seasons, they just had to rattle our QB, and we were done The other team's offense has to play differently because the pressure on them is to score.
