DW..not to be unkind to him at this early phase but did WE supersize him...

A little early..especially after some costly 2014 injuries & time missed (entire Spring practices, etc).
But, even though he hasn't been the overall Superman we dreamed of in the national stats race..I Do see him doing in an orderly & effortless fashion the many things needed to win...
Not unlike Homer Jordan did in '81 season on the way to an unbelievable & unexpected National Championship season..Homer was a very smart field general, pretty good passer & runner..not overly splashy (but less so than DWatson).
Saying, Deshaun is slowly getting back to speed & will be showing us just how much he resembles that Superman WE made him out to be earlier..rightly or wrongly.
For me, I believe he will take us far this year & next..maybe to the promise land, like Homer. Much luck & Success #4.
Go??

He is a great talent and he is young. I'll take him over anyone else.

Quite uncharacteristically, Tay dropped 2 passes yesterday (1 a TD). Peake does not fight for the ball. Two INTs could have been avoided that was thrown to him this year. He has been a little high on some of his throws though. I like your comparison to HJ. He, too, had good receivers around him. We may have overhyped him, but that is our fault, not his. And like you say, he does what it takes to win.

Superman? Nah. But he is as good as we think he is - play calling and Mike Williams injury have held him back.

The man bleeds orange. And while I disagree with him on this post, I would never call him a Coot.
DW is still a freshman in terms of games played. And the coaches got very conservative in the 2nd half (which I agree with. We won the game). DW won my undying support last November 29th.

Kinda almost wanna say his last game was played in a hurricane

And our "fragile" QB DW took many hits and ran for almost 100yds and a score, and passed for another 100 and TWO scores (in said weather).
Heisman performance. Gritty. Clutch. Tough. Leader. Winner. Bawse.

I don';t know what the Lightbulbill character expects! If he's got a complaint talk to the dual OC's who darn near cost of the game yesterday. They should study the film of the first quarter and then see the last. Sure the bs about wanting ND to have to go a long way is fine but a couple of first downs put that game on ice and called the most conservative plays and used Watson far too much Ever hear of the wildcat?

Watson is hamstrung by the play calling. You can since it in his post game interview. I think Morris goes for the jugular. Winning is certainly the most import goal, and we won, but I think that this game could have been put away early. The play calling changed after we got the lead, which allowed them back into the game. I think, on the verge of giving the game away.
I don't think Watson is real happy about it. I don't buy into the excuses that balls could go through receivers hands, dropped and tipped which could lead to interceptions. If that is your line of thinking, why even throw the ball at all. You cannot play not to lose, or you will lose. If Kearse doesn't cause that fumble on the two yard line. We lose the game. I don't think you simply turn the offense on and off like a light switch. ND had all the momentum in the fourth quarter, and turn that momentum around with the offense going back to what it was doing in the first half would not have been easy. Keep your foot on the pedal.
Like I said before the goal is winning. I think by doing what they did, they hurt much more than our chance of winning. They hurt our rankings, and Deshaun's Heisman hopes. I'm not trying to put those a head of winning, but they are intertwined. If we keep playing like that we are eventually going to lose.
Turn him loose!!!
