eventually getting to 16....
16 with 4 pods would be a great system.
It would look something similar to this...
I would rather have someone else besides Miami and Pitt though.
You would play the teams in your pod every year. Have 2 permanent "rivals" and the other 3 games would rotate through one in each pod.

Replace Pitt and Miami and you got a deal.
Pitt snubbed the Big 12 initially opting for the ACC. They will not get invited.
Miami is about to get the hammer dropped and Shalala is de-emphasizing sports. Landmine school that will never get teh votes.
Replace Pitt with Maryland.
Louisville with Miami.
I'd love to avoid 16 to be honest, but at some point I think we are going to have to get our eastern brothers some friends.

Replace Miami with VT or NCstate (screwing the SEC and/or tabacco road) and Pitt with Louisville.

formed an alliance. Whatever bad blood may have been there over Mizzou and aTm is obviously gone. I really believe there is a deal re expansion. VT is going to be an $EC target. The BigXII will leave them alone.
