As we left Death Valley last night. I told my son the he may be able to say that he seen two number 1 overall picks play. Trevor being the first.

What do you think? Bears have been know to take a NC quarterback.

Drake Maye and the Tiger D made me pretty sure he will not be the number one pick. Yes, he has the arm but too many balls were poorly placed. I do think he will go early and wish him well in the pros.

He’s good (so is our D) but not sure he’ll go 1. Top 10 for sure. Not sure the needs of the top teams with picks but likely he’ll be the 2nd QB taken. Seems like a good kid too.

Who gets first pick usually takes who they want or trade down to get the guy they want without spending a 1st round pick knowing the guy they want can be had in the 2nd round.

If Maye is really needed and wanted by a team other than the one with the first round pick they can get a gold mine in the deal.

Maye ain't no Trevor L!

I still think Williams goes off as the first QB. I bet it will be like last year where - several QBs seem to come out of nowhere into the top 10-15.

But in the end Williams and I still think Maye is #2 QB

I have watched him play twice, and I am not impressed. Both times I've watched him (against clemson) he has not played like a #1 pick. That tells me he isn't good against an elite defense. Anf in the NFL he will be playing good defenses every week.

Now it could be that UNC just isn't that talented and he isn't getting much help. But I saw a bunch of throws Saturday that were well off the mark.
