On a serious note, it'll really hit another gear if we can work the mid-range. More than 80% of our passes range from behind the LOS-5 yards or 15+ yards. If we can work that 5-15 yard range, we'll really keep defenses on their heels.
It'll help the running game as well since much of that 5-15 yard range is linebacker territory.

Agreed 100%. However, working those mid-range throws would certainly alleviate some of the pressure on the running game.
At this point, we're not working the middle at all, so more often than not linebackers are stepping forward before they step back. For obvious reasons, this puts them in a much better position to defend the run. If we can work the middle enough to make those linebackers hesitant to come up, it will almost definitely help get our running backs get past that first level of the defense.
