I wouldn’t even necessarily say talent has taken a back seat. The wide receivers aren’t as impressive but the coaching is a glaring regression. The whole promote within has hurt us. Great for the guys that are currently in the coaching ranks on the team but not for the progression of the team. Our offense really took off when we brought in Morris and it has slowly regressed back to the Spence era.

DJ never "came back." I don't care what the media says. He went from the worst quarterback in the entire power 5 to one that was perfectly average. That's an improvement, but people here were comparing him to Deshaun and Trevor. He's not Joe Burrow.
