Deshaun has NOTHING on Lamar Jackson

Sep 10, 2016, 5:18 PM

Watching the 2 games this weekend, Lamar Jackson seems far better equipped to handle the quarterback position. I'm sorry, if you held a gun to my head and had to pick one of the 2 quarterbacks RIGHT NOW.......I take #ACTIONJACKSON !

Take him then, and take your sorry self to another team. Oh wait, you already aren't a Tiger. My bad.

9 out of 10 college experts would take Lamar Jackson in a hearbeat over Deshaun. STOP being a homer!!

Keep convincing yourself of that. You think 2 games changes what everyone knows Watson can do? You are dumber than a brick. Oh, btw, Miss State is whipping your team up so far.

Kizer frome Notre Dame is playing lights out.Clemson, the offense and staff need to really have a man in the mirror moment. I think the coordinators need to change some things.

Don't you have perry worth on your team coot?

That's why you're not a coach, and just a pathetic dude who hangs out on opposing teams message boards

No, I'm a Clemson fan but know a better QB when I see one. Open your eyes!

I'll take the QB who has actually won a playoff game and went to national championship game. Keep your perry Orth, Macelwain, Nunez, and Jackson.

right.

Glad we have 4 at Clemson and wish he'd play another year here but id say top 5 qb in the country at best.

I guess that's why Jackson was riding the bench last year watching

Sep 10, 2016, 5:25 PM

Deshaun beat his team on their own field.

Makes sense.

Connelly, I agree with you. I am a Clemson fan, but I have to be objective. Deshaun right now is top 5 in the country at best. Certainly no Heisman candidate right now!

Sep 10, 2016, 9:18 PM

Fairly irrelevant since the Heisman isn't based on 2 weeks.

This really is comical. You're comparing a guy that took

Sep 10, 2016, 5:25 PM

Clemson to the National Championship game and broke records against one of the best Bama defenses ever statistically to a guy who put up big numbers against Charlotte and Syracuse? My goodness man wake up.

Deshaun is very hesitant on every play. Doesn't look like he

Sep 10, 2016, 5:33 PM

is worried about getting hurt. It just looks like he is afraid of making mistakes. Does not look the same as the kid that played in 2014 and last year. His long throws aren't even close. They are all overthrows. Renfro bailed him out on the TD. That was an overthrow also. And the interceptions, my gosh. Jackson is just pure natural hell on wheels. And can throw better than anyone in the country.
Hate to say it, but forget the Heisman for Watson. I'm afraid and almost sure Watson will not evn be the All-ACC quarterback. That will be Jackson or FSU qb. I love Watson, he is our guy, he gave a national championship winning performance, but our special teams ruined it for him. I don't like saying any of this, but that is just a true assessment of the play. I hope he goes to the NFL and becomes the greatest player in the world and makes a ton of money for he and his wonderful family. But, at the moment, he is not a very good quarterback. He is in some kind of a funk. Now he had almost zero blocking from our hot shot offensive line and several drops by our hotshot receivers, but he still had his own issues of interceptions and overthrows. He looks timid.

Re: Deshaun is very hesitant on every play. Doesn't look like he

You have to be nuts to not think that a good bit of his struggles aren't related to the WR drops. Our WRs aren't helping him much at all right now. His stat line would look much much better over the last two games if our WRs had not dropped TD passes left and right. Both games wouldn't have been in doubt had they not happened. I think Watson is definitely pressing though and I think it's directly related to our guys not helping him. We haven't had much of the underneath passing game this year...I.e. Check downs. The DBs were giving our guys a pretty good cushion today as well. Why we didn't just throw some quick outs to let our guys try and make some plays in space is beyond me. The total lack of running game today definitely put more pressure on the passing game. I think our play calling has been extremely predictable this year and that's hurt us as well. Haven't seen many audibles by Watson this year either. It's all very perplexing to say the least.

Put down the crack pipe coot.

Well in 3 weeks you will see DW wins games and Lamar Jackson puts up good numbers for 2 games. Call me when he goes 4000 and 1000. He is on pace to do it and it is great to see but settle down. We forget what DW did to Bama? He is the same guy just had a off day today because his WRs and him got off rhythm. Lamar will not know what to do against our front.
