Clemson/VT/Bama battle
Would love to get him. Definitely need one of him or Dye. Not sure what the percentage chances are, but I've heard we are in good shape for both (probably a little better for Dye)

I need someone to help me out here...I've been hearing things like, "we need to pick it up in our recruiting so far, our class is small, and we don't have very many big names," and so on. Clemson has had top recruiting classes for a while now, and those comments kind of surprised me. I don't follow it close enough to call BS or not, but I take comments like that at face value and consider the source. This staff has always done a good job at getting guys and winning battles with FSU, UGA, etc...but I noticed on the ESPN ticker over the weekend that there were a couple of verbal commits where other schools were chosen over Clemson. I'm not worried or alarmed, just curious. Fill me in on what we have, and what we got coming, and should I be worried?

A lot of people are worried simply because we have not landed a real "big name" type of commitment yet this year (though I really like the 4 star LB O'Daniel and believe he's a future star). We have somehow lost out (in all likelihood) with the Hill kid (DT from Pendleton) who will either go to Ohio State or SC.
Aside from that, no complaints from me yet. We're in good shape for Maquez North (one of the top 5 WR in the country), Montravious Adams (#1 DT), Derrick Green (#1 RB), etc. We're also in it for some quality linemen (like Tryone Crowder). Running second for the #1 DB in the country but he's likely going to VT.
We'll land another top 20 class for sure, with the chance for it to become a top 10 with a couple of the big names above.

Doesn't sound too bad to me...Thanks for that. Where do you go, and what do you do to follow recruiting so closely? I need to be better about doing that...

Lot of hearsay because some buddies follow it closer than I do. But I do have a rivals account so I follow it on the other site a little bit too.
Tigernet has also gotten a lot better with recruiting updates lately

At one point I thought we were the leader for Green and that some thought he would commit soon.
It seems now that he has become the #1 RB in the country that our chances have diminished somewhat.
Choice between Green or Dye, you take Green every time.
