Demarre Kitt Translation

Dec 8, 2014, 7:08 PM

They have so much talent and incoming talent that the competition scares me, so I am going to a place where there is less competition and I can be a big fish in a little pond. Clemson has turned into Wide Receiver U and the ones that like competition and work hard, this is a great place to be. I do wish him the best and hope he lands where he wants to be. There is plenty of opportunity for many playmakers in this offense as it has proven with Dwayne Allen, Nuk Hopkins, Sammy Watkins,Martavis Bryant, Andre Ellington in the last few drafts... And with DW leading the team the next few seasons, these WRs, RBs TEs and offensive playmakers that like hard work and competition are really going to have the opportunity to shine and develop into next level talent

The ones leaving while the guys who are thriving have nothing but great things to say

that is true. This actually disappoints me his transferring. Kids sometimes don't realize that patience is a virtue. Some kids need a year in the system to adapt and further development. I think he is talented and will be a good player. I guess Scott's immediate impact was frustrating. And with Ray Ray and McCain coming in, he was probably intimidated and thought he was going to remain buried. I wish he would've been more patient. He's a talented kid

Jaron Brown is a great example of patience, NFL talent and

team player that was willing to work hard with other very talented receivers, and it paid off for him. Also, meant CAIN in the last post, sorry for the typo

a little more athletic than he was ( like Kitt was presentky )but he continued to work hard and was a clutch receiver for us. He made some bigtime plays and was a team player. That is the parallel with them I was making

lets not turn it into a "he's afraid to compete in the SEC" situation like the moron fans of that conference do.....if young Mr. Kitt thinks he'll be happier and find more playing time elsewhere, we need to thank him for all his hard work and wish him well on his journey. And where ever he goes, I hope he completes his degree requirements

He also may have not felt like it was the place for him, maybe he didn't feel like he fit in. There's a multitude of reasons he may have decided this (although playing time is more than likely the culprit). The main thing is that we just can't know what is really going through his head and all we do know is that he is leaving. With that being said I wish nothing but the best for him and hope he has a bright future elsewhere.

Kitt was too talented to sit on the bench...

He will go the 4-2-4 route and end up starting for some major program. Hate to see him go.

Our instability at QB didn't help us.

Deshaun's injuries and Cole's inability to not check off to other receivers hurt us too. I hate he's leaving. You can never have enough quality receivers. I feel confident that a healthy Deshaun Watson will spread the wealth next season.

I honestly can't blame him

He kinda got the raw end of the deal this year when it came to PT. Really we are going to continue to field a player like Hopper out there week after week who, with the exception of two passes in the UNC game, really did not achieve much at all for us on the field this season (and I was a Hopper fan before the year started). Yet we cannot give this kid a chance to go out there and show what he can or cannot do? At the same time Scott, Choice, and Watson, guys that he came in with are all playing. We would have never known Scott was any good if he never got a chance early in the season to perform.

Then in the couple blow out games we had this year the coaches are going to put someone like Rodriquez out there before Kitt? I know a lot of people are inspired by Rodriquez's story I get it, and I respect that he served in our military for our country. That said he may be a very good athlete but he is not a D1 WR.

I know a lot of people think we are WR U because we have put a few guys in the NFL but we were really going to need Kitt in the upcoming seasons, and really needed him and Priester this season. We have Mike Williams who is tall and can go up for the ball but is not the fastest guy in the world or the biggest in terms of weight/muscle (he falls down a lot from contact) but still he is a very talented player and will play NFL ball if he continues to progress. And we have Scott who seems to be our biggest explosive play maker from the WR position and fastest, though not Sammy fast, and will be a major part of this team moving forward. Other than that we have Humphries who is graduating, Peake who is a toss up where he will ever be healthy enough to play more than a few games next season and if he will even be the same after all the knee troubles, and Hopper who looked last year to have potential but was shut down due to attitude/practice/effort issues then seemed to correct his off the field problems but has had a serious problem dropping the ball this season and even if he does catch it he is very small in size and height. Other than the above mentioned the rest of our WR core is compiled of walk on's.

I know we have some recruits coming in that will be a huge help and improvement to our WR's but that is if they live up to the potential they have been hyped up to. If these players all pan out we will be back to where we need to be numbers wise at WR. If that was the case it would mean less PT for Kitt next season as well because if he didn't see the field this year it will be very hard to get in the mix next season as I'm sure some of the guys coming in have been promised PT early next season. However, if some of those guys did not pan out or needed to RS Kitt would have been a must have as we will be a couple injuries away from this years scenario of Williams, Scott, and not really anyone else.

My opinion is his leaving was nothing about any problems with coaches, other players, grades, or anything like that it was all PT and who was playing over him. It is good to wish him well but those who say things like "we too deep" next man up, need to take a serious look at our WR issue and hope that these 6 or so recruits coming in this season are really going to step up or we may be in trouble in terms of a passing game even with DW slinging it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agree 100%... D Rodriguez getting PT is what...

angered Kyrin Priester and I'm sure it probably angered Kitt as well. The only difference is, Kyrin got so angry that he expressed his feelings to the coaches.
