A major part of college life is being on my own. I know its hard to let go but I need to find out what I can do on my own.
Thank you for getting me this far but there's a whole new world out there and I want to discover new things, new people and new places.

As much as we want you to experience being on your own, please forgive us for wanting to enjoy your accomplishments and share the special moments that will come from our creation. We both agree that you are now a young man and should be able to make your own decisions, but sometimes us parents just want to be there to soften the blows that life gives you at times. Please don't take this as micro-parenting, but take it as we love you and want to share as many moments with you as possible. We do not regret any decisions that have been made for and with you.
Silly how some parents are like that, but that is the way it is. We don't want to miss one moment.
