Dear Coots,

Take caution in your tone coots. I’m a fair guy but this freaking heat is making me absolutely crazy. You want to ask me about your recent winning streaks, on the record I tell you I'm discouraged by the outcomes of most of these games and you guys appear to have had the better teams. Off the record, I tell you it is an inevitable part of sports rivalries and that even the weakest will have their moments in the sun, so be it. You want to provoke us, roll the dice and take your chances. We've been dominating your sorry arses for the last hundred years and more, so don’t think for one second that you coming around here raving about your ole ball coach and flashing your "11-win" rings make us nervous.
You see, your problem is that….
You can’t handle the truth! Coots, we live in a world that has history, and we all know that history and the great divide in the record. Who’s gonna significantly close it? You? You, Ole Ball Coach? You’re in a deeper hole than you could possibly fathom. You cheer your three in a row, and excuse your paltry lack of tradition. You have that luxury as a delusional coot. You have the luxury of not knowing what we know. That your recent success, while tragic to us Clemson fans, will be your undoing. And our existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, is what you aspire to be. You don’t want the truth because deep down in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want our history and tradition, you need our history and tradition. We use words like undefeated, multiple conference championships, national championship. We use these words as the backbone of our history and tradition. You think of them as fantasy. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain ourselves to a fandom that boasts of the conference with such fervor and rides on the coat tails of conference brethren like Alabama and LSU, while contributing nothing of sustained substance to that conference. I would rather you just shut up, and went on your way.

To the coots who emphatically (if not eloquently)Voice their opposition to Clemson opinions on their rival’s board.
To the coots that eagerly reply to a post highlighting how Clemson fans view them, excited that they’re being mentioned.
To the coots that then deny that there is a perception that they have an inferiority complex (them being experts on perception and all):
Thank you for illustrating my point.

and then they will go cry to their momma's, and who knows what else. they are a pitiful lot, wanting with every fiber of their being to be relevant in the sport we all know and love, also knowing they don't ever have a chance in hades to do so, it must be excruciating. glad i'm a clemson tiger fan, and as the saying goes " born an american, tiger by the grace of god".
