After watching the Rumph video from earlier in the week, the one where he is chewing a little ####, I am surprised we haven't heard much about how thin we are and what the plan is. Neither DE take in this cycle appears to be physically ready like Parker, Mayo is closest but still needs weight room work. With the room currently being Parker, Denoff, Hoffler, Lawson and Patterson, I would think we need to add at least one if not two individuals who are ready to contribute. We are beyond stacked at DT, probably still one of the best DT rooms in the country. Is it as simple as sliding one of our DT's outside? It appears the only portal action has been with OL, little surprised we aren't looking at one DE.

P.Woods will need to lose a bit of weight if he is expected to play the (large) number of snaps that will be needed for our thin DE rotation.
Not a bunch of weight; maybe 15 to 20 lbs.

Do this summer. Coaching upgrade means players have the ability to improve. We may just see what we need out of who we have without putting too much pressure on our DT's outside.

BloodbeOrange® Would love to see Parker and slimmer P-Woo at DE with Page, Capehart and maybe Burley leading rotation at DT in 2024.

I suspect we are going to see more 3-3-5 than 4-2-5 looks next year b/c of personnel. I also think there is going to have to be more schemed pressure than relying on the down linemen to bring the majority of it. I hope some of the scheme Minnesota is running came with Rumph. That will be a bunch of wrinkles the Tigers haven't shown even with Venables.

much. I think a couple of DTs can play end though. Parker is the PR where the other end will be not of the run stopper type. Hoffler and Denhoff are more than capable of giving us what we need. Denhoff is similar to Mascoll - would expect similar production with another year. Hoffler is more athletic but needs a good offseason in the weight room- that’s why Rumph is coaching him like he is. He’s the one they want to take the big leap. Situationally then you have have Lawson who is a speed/3rd down guy

All certainly possible. Wouldn't be shocked to see Barnes slide down to one of the LB spots in some of those 3-3-5 packages if Sammy Brown isn't ready to go. We've got a lot of interchangeable parts in the back 7. It's gonna be fun to see what kind of looks they throw out.
