I got one more day moving paint cans and finishing the new security brackets on the bay door then final sweep and my car moves in. I might get the car into this garage tomorrow but tue at the latest.



Four days cleaning but I did some sheetrock work in Glen's house during that time and worked on the bay doors too.

There's no cleaning the interior surfaces of those exterior walls. The wood wasn't primed and the moisture has curled the latex paint. So, Glen has a 50 lb roll of plastic and I have a small Arrow stapler, 1/4" staples and an 8" step ladder and I'm going to cover all that nasty up and shut the remaining cobwebs and dust out of my shop.

piece of clear plastic tubing with graduates of cm going both ways from zero in the middle. One leg mounted inside the booth and one outside. The water level will change as the intake filter fill with dirt and allow me to avoid burning up my fan(s).

There was a time when men were men. That's not always the case today. When I hired on at combustion engineering back in the early 70s I knew I was well liked because I'd find snakes in my locker, got hit with a variety of fruits just before turning into the clock alley on the way out and found my car with four flat tires.

The snakes were all harmless, the bruises on my calfs healed and the tires got air on site because air pressure was available at the plant and hoses to transfer it were available by the mile.

One guy came to work with a new Toyota and just wouldn't shut up about the gas mileage. He claimed it was getting 38 mpg which might have been true. Some of the guys started sneaking out to the parking lot and putting a gallon of gas in his car every day. His gas mileage went up to 80 mpg. His boasting was off the charts.

After adding a few gallons every week for a month they started siphoning a gallon out every couple days. Occasionally someone would ask how his new car was doing on gas.

Three of the exceptionally professional pranksters got a hold of a photo of a big fat 50 yr old woman with what must have been her grandsons. One of the youngsters had flaming red hair. They pranked another of my coworker by putting the photo in his lunchbox after second break and his wife found it.

On the back of the photo they'd written, 'Here's the boys, Red, can you tell which one is yours!'

The issues it caused Red at home resulted in all three of the guys having to visit Red's home and explain to his wife that they had pranked him.

When my new wife showed up at work one day with a carry out lunch for me she did look amazing. One of the idiots said, 'My God, Dan, she's even more beautiful than that blonde who brought your lunch yesterday. Did you get this one in Hollywood too?'

So yeah, I get it and carry on if you dare.
