Except for rushing the football.
At least he is a far better feel good story than Daniel Rodriguez.
Had many interactions with that guy on campus / down town and he was a real POS.

People on this board have been bashing DJ for 18 months and me pointing out that a feel good story walk on is not a good RB is deemed uncalled for? Do you defend him in the same fashion?
Some walk ons turn out to be Hunter Renfrow or Baker Mayfield.
Rencher is not one of those. Great kid? Yes. Great football player? no.

Nah, Daniel was humping random people in a bar like he was a dog. Right up on their legs. Girls got disgusted that the bouncers weren't doing anything. At one point he gave them a "don't you know who I am?"
But sure, I'm the a$$hole. People have been calling DJ trash for 18 months nor but i simply say Rencher is not good at rushing the ball and suddenly we have morals on this board about who can't be insulted.
Get a grip.

Who said he was a great rusher? He’s a great kid and leader in the locker room, even if you couldn’t see his impact on the field.

Someone said he excels at everything. I pointed out everything but rushing the football.
I wish people were as supportive of DJ as they are of Darien.
What I said was hardly even an insult and people have been lambasting DJ since last year

I’ve had a few interactions with him as well and POS is the complete opposite. He’s a truly a stand up guy.
Just because he was no 5* talent on the field doesn’t mean he didn’t impact that locker room. I have hard time believing that he was a POS to you.

Dude averaged nearly 5 yards per carry in his career. He may not have been a superstar talented guy that would start for a NC competing team, but he played well enough to not deserve this garbage comment from you.

Good for him. I met him his freshman year when he was working for a traveling carnival. He noticed my Clemson shirt and he told me he had just walked on the team. He was very polite and the epitome of a Clemson man….he also gave my son some extra time in the bouncy house. Glad to see him doing well.
