through the iptay circuit akin to sherman's through columbia. coach ford was way out of line and could have weathered about anything save his attacks.
jack didn't agree with feedback/recommendations made to improve the product on the field. that's philosophical and well within jack's right, drad said as much in yesterday's presser[~2:05 mark].

for insubordination. DRad said change is needed. Jack said no. DRad said "you're fired". DRad told Jack last year he had to accomplish certain things, which Jack failed to do. DRad offered Jack a lifeline earlier in the week, but Jack refused. Result, Jack was fired. DRad clearly said to Jack you need to make changes to save your job and Jack said no, which is Jack's right, but you just called DRad's bluff and lost.

always do, which is the right thing. It's VERY clear from DRad's own words Jack could have kept his job another year if he made changes. Jack refused. Jack was terminated. You can call it whatever you want, but the outcome is the same. Jack was fired because he refused to do what his boss wanted him to do. Where I come from that's called insubordination. When your boss basically say's "Do this, or else" it is not a suggestion or difference of opinion. If it was Jack would still be HC. Period.

honestly, you're too pathetic for words at times... you bandy about insubordination in what appears to be some simple-minded attempt to personally attack the man. there's no need for it, but i'm not shocked in the least the person that called Billy Davis a liar would stoop to those depths... again.
drad & coach leggett disagreed. it happens everyday, sometimes parties work through those disagreements, sometimes they don't. these disagreements are one of the many good reasons contracts are in place to oversee these instances should the two parties not reach a mutually acceptable path forward. the contract allows each party an out should it come to a situation such as this and that's the door drad chose. the man was well within his right do so as agent for clemson, as was coach leggett well within his right to stay the course... and DRAD himself said so.
in any event, they will honor coach leggett's contract and move in a different direction. a lot of people should be happy, hopefully they will remain so once the new hire is announced.
to be clear there is/was no insubordination and to suggest as much is laughable; at worst it's philosophical differences that could not be resolved therefore drad exercised clemson's out and will pay the man accordingly.

Ford publicly. Lennon even praised Danny Ford publicly within the past 10 years. Not the same can be said about Ford. Ford blasted Lennon publicly a lot.

Huge Danny Ford fan, but he ran himself off from Clemson. He kept on blasting the school administration and the AD. Ford had the perfect situation at Clemson, yet whined about stuff that really didn't matter. Before he was forced to resign, he was constantly blasting the school admin publicly. A few weeks before he was forced to resign he blasted Clemson in Columbia for not building separate dorms for athletes. Ironically enough, the NCAA banned schools from doing that a year after. So something that probably was the final straw or played a role in it, was much ado about nothing.
A few years ago Danny Ford even blasted Dabo on Corey Miller's radio show back in 2010, saying he would never be able to get the job done. It's 2015 now, and Ford has had to back away from those comments.
Danny Ford was great coach, but he was stubborn and had no filter.
