Dangerous time.

If your team/school has done their homework and worked on this I am sure you will be along for the new conference ride. You gotta hope and pray Clemson has done everything it could to be open and attractive to the Big 12 (or SEC).
None the less, some teams will scramble to get on board and will compete with us for a slot and also remember this folks, there will be lots of teams that are going to be left behind. It will be a horrible feeling if we are left behind. It is a dangerous time IMHO.

From a UGA fan...

These are very true words. Clemson has a strong national reputation as does FSU. I think there will be teams left behind but any conference would be lucky to have a school with great history and fan support. I just hope you administration has prepared itself for this potential "minefield". There will be jockeying etc. If it were UGA I would be emailing and calling and writing letters to express desires of the fanbase and alumni. My dad said he tuned into WCCP and they are NOT even discussing this today. That is NUTS!

Thank God there has been a change of leadership in our BOT. If we still had the same BOT in place that we had only a few years ago, we'd definitely be one of the teams left on the outside looking in.

TDP is a Big XII guy and still has strong ties there (so I've heard).
Barker (a Clemson alum) just backed a new proposal to the NCAA regarding harsher penalties. Seems to me he has a bad taste in his mouth given the inequitable treatment of UNC to FSU, GT, Miami and Clemson.
Those two alone lead me to believe they are open to a conference shift to the Big XII or whomever. I'd imagine the BOT would favor if in the best interest of the university. At this time, it appears to be in our best interest.

You can bet that those in charge at CU/FSU already know what their next move is, plans are in the works.Whether it's a move to the BIG 12, another conference or even the next expansion move by the ACC that those of us mere mortals are not yet privy to.Last year at this time no one thought the ACC would be the first conference to jump to 14 teams leaving the SEC to scramble and jump to 14. The ACC could be the first conference to 16, CU/FSU could already know they're leaving for the BIG 12.All will be known soon.

no interest in moving. All of a sudden in the panic someone like GT all of a sudden doesn't see themselves as too good for the Big12. They could try and take a spot and they would get it due to the Atlanta and Georgia market, etc..
Very dangerous time indeed.

I don't think GT gets in before us. We have a better fanbase, better gameday atmosphere, and our ratings on a National basis are higher than GTs. We probably have more people in Atlanta that watch us over GT.
