guy when he played for the Lamecocks, but the dude was a warrior. Took a lot of hits and was a major factor in the turnaround from 0-21. Got to give him his due. RIP.

He was HS friends with my roommates. He stayed at our place after the game in '98. He said Keith Adams hit him harder than anyone ever had before. RIP.

"back-to-back New Years Day bowls". LMAO. Just because the Outback Bowl was now played on Jan 1, and they wanted to make it into a Major Bowl... like the traditional NYD bowls... Rose, Cotton, Sugar, Orange. But it wasn't, it was about the level of a Peach or Gator, in those days.

I remember hammering Lame fans... "New Years Day Bowl"... I never heard of that one.
