Something that isn't political but was made as such here by the Clown Brigade. Here he is. Healthy and fine, giving a thank you video. See link below.
Of course, the conspiracy folk won't acknowledge their fault here. CharlestonTom was the biggest perpetrator of it, but he got a few butt taps along the way. But if you think about this conspiracy, it sheds light on the problem we have in our politics now.
It's perhaps not even that much of a right vs. left or Pub vs. Dem problem: It's a conspiracy nutjob problem. Those nuts tend to be extremely anti-establishment and distrustful of anything government or the media or a corporation touches, thus, they THINK they fall into the Republican/conservative camp, and therefore have polluted that side.
We're fighting a battle where the loons suddenly have a voice and have convinced each other they're right thanks to Interwebs, Twitter, TikTok, etc. Tom is the biggest pusher of the tripe, but we still have xtiger pushing Project Veritas ######### or RPMcMurphy peddling anti-vax conspiracies. There's a whole slew of people here who still foolishly believe the 2020 election wasn't legit and don't realize they're getting duped by the people who claim they won but really know they didn't. SOLOs clings desperately to this crowd for his 9/11 conspiracies even though he's not really conservative or Republican, so he's aligned himself with people who don't actually welcome him to their flock. But any port in the storm, I guess.
These people are scared and uncertain in life, and when people are frightened and feel small and their world doesn't make sense, a crazy conspiracy somehow brings comfort to them and makes them feel like it all makes sense now.
I've jabbed Tom about the "Birds Aren't Real" conspiracy because some legit crazies buy into this one. It doesn't seem anyone here does, but let's compare:
We all agree that it's insane to think the government is using pigeon drones to spy on all of us and that birds aren't really real, but somehow it's not crazy to believe...
-The government created a vaccine with known health risks to control us.
-The government used a virus to control us. Masks are to control us.
-The government murdered 3,000 citizens to justify a war.
-One side of the government rigged a national election for a president but didn't do so for other races in the same state.
-The government wants to turn all our children into trannies.
Yeah, those are legit but we'll draw the line at the bird one. Maybe those who push such theories should think about the bird one next time they're about to share that Twitter or TikTok link.
The responses from them are inevitable, too:
1. "Der herp you believed Trump colluded with the Russians!" No, but we wanted an investigation because there were too many questionable connections between his people and the Russians.
2. "Oh, so you believe and trust everything the government/media/establishment tells you?!" No, but we'll bring some common sense into that disbelief and ask for information or evidence before jumping to a conclusion.

You are Example 1 of the problem.
1. Just because YOU say that something destroys the economy doesn't make it so.
2. Who says it will?
3. People using guns have the capacity to kill more people than people without guns. Especially certain weapons. The US had the worst record with gun violence in the Western world. I guess you think that the access to guns and the number of guns in the country is just a coincidence.
4. The right's response to student loan relief is idiotic. Student loans are basically the sole type of loan that follows the person in debt to the grave. Allow Americans to use bankruptcy protection for student loans the way they can get out from any other debt (obviously, if there is a dire financial situation that requires it) and then you don't even need student debt relief. But that it is easier to get out of debt from running up your credit card or running your business badly than it is to get out from under student loan debt is mind-boggling.
Curious what you think your bullet points had to do with the o/p.

Most of my distrust for the government is due to their incompetence.
My distrust of the FBI comes from a history of an abuse of power, from trying to blackmail Kennedy, to spying on MLK, to killing a man's family at Ruby Ridge, to interfering in Hillary Clinton's campaign (arrest someone or s t f u), to spying on the Trump campaign by a false
FISA request.
And yes, at this point, trying to say that there were not a lot of people in the media and in Congress that didn't push a narrative that the former President was some sort of Russian asset, is an attempt at a rewrite of history.

Don't believe I said that, and yes, there were, but there was also enough there to warrant an investigation.
EDIT: Yes, I distrust the incompetence more than anything. That's the real issue; they aren't organized enough to pull off the conspiracy.

Whew, looks like I slipped by your list today, thankfully! 
Yeah, we do agree phones and the in-your-face 24/7 style of digesting information creates a lot of problems that would otherwise not be with us (conspiracies and such). Both 'sides' equally vulnerable to group-think.
I did just see a blurb about deep fakes over the weekend, so don't put the Hamlin issue to bed yet!

As in the other conspiracies that you listed, where you invent some absurd theory and totally mischaracterize legitimate questions, you ascribed to me and a pint of view that I simply did not have. I never said Hamlin was dead or that the person was a double or any of that.
I simply pointed out the strange facts around what was happening. I asked “why?” With the latest event, where he showed up at the game, that was the strangest charade I’ve seen in pop culture in forever. The man appears to be fine in this latest video, so why was he so disguised and unidentifiable at the stadium? It still makes no sense.
But in the end, he did (finally) put out a video. So I dropped it, here, the minute I saw it. I posted the video that he released.
So once again, you are the dishonest, lying a**hole who has to mischaracterize other people to make a point, and I am just a person thinking critically and asking questions.

Yes, you employ the Tucker Carlson ridiculousness of "just asking questions," but like him, the questions are outrageous and are meant to get people thinking of a conspiracy.

I guess I'm too much of a fan of Occam's Razor here, and believe that at least someone in the family would take issue with this if that were the case. There's really not much reason to believe it wasn't him, attire or not.
EDIT: Remember, CharlestonTom started questioning that he was even released from the hospital or that he may not even be alive, and then claimed "government controls all healthcare" as a reason to fuel the conspiracy. So this nut baggery started long before.
