Read an Arkansas insider board that says SC is trying to run the pound and ground offense that was successful at Arkansas a couple of years ago so I guess they think they’d need a bunch for that?

Check the kids stats though. He was a true freshman so he has 3 years of eligibility left. 809 yards and 7 TDs. Who knows how he’ll end up for them, but there are always some diamonds from d2.

SC State has produced many fine players over the years not sure this is a topic worth exploring. I do feel bad for the young man having to live in Columbia but am happy he gets to try his luck at the P5 level

or at least it was when I moved out of Orangeburg almost 20 years ago.
I hate it, because Orangeburg is my hometown, but they had all kinds of controversy there. Not just the students, either. President, AD and faculty all were rife with issues. Maybe (hopefully) they have worked some of it out. I am not as plugged in there as I was.
This was a proud program when I was growing up in the 70s. Bill Davis was a legend. Then came Willie Jeffries, who had a pretty good bit of success himself. Great guy, too…what a character. Proud to call him a friend. And Buddy Pough is a super dude, too…just had big shoes to fill. I am not sure why the program seems to have regressed a bit, but would like to see it return to its dominant ways. I will always be a Bulldog fan. Man, some of those guys they turned out in the 70s were DAWGS (pun intended).
