Computer usage question

I'm working on a project for one of the major computer companies. It involves the little track ball thing in the middle of the laptop keyboard. Do any of you actually use the track ball and if so, what do you use it for other than ####?
I will tmail you naked pics of my dog if you reply with an actual answer.

I did not like using the trackball on other laptop computers and my personal laptop does not have one.

it is easier standing up over it to adjust pressure with your finger (once you're used to it) rather than leaning over and keep swiping the touchpad to maneuver around.
I can't get used to it for normal uses. I plug in my USB or swipe the touchpad
