So popped up on my FB feed & had to browse & check out...apparently our men's & women's rugby clubs (sidebar - when did Clemson start a women's rugby team?) competed this weekend at the Collegiate Rugby Championship National 7s.

The women's team rebounded from a runner-up finish in pool play to win the Women's Division I Club national title, defeating Baylor in semis and UMass in the title game!

The men's team finished 1st in pool play & defeated UConn in semifinal. They play San Diego Sunday for the Men's Division I Club national title

Congrats to the guys and gals but Rugby is a horrible sport. It makes zero sense to me. It feels like the equivalent of "Smear the _____" we played at lunch in middle school (5th and 6th kind of middle school the normal kind).

They were club sports, but we had a woman’s rugby team in the early 80’s.

Just don't remember a women's team being around when I was in school.

Nevertheless I'm glad they had a big win this weekend.

Men are currently trailing 10-0
