I did see ABC correct? If Brent calls the game (HOPE SO!), the game is in our bag! The guy calls a great game.

I believe Musburger has a contract with SEC Network and only calls their games these days.

I don't think he really understands football. I don't think he watches the game when in the booth. He will be looking for Watson's girlfriend and her mother so he can compare them to what you get if you're the quarterback at Alabama.

My point exactly. That was a fantastic quote for a fantastic tradition. I get chills every time I watch it. When it comes to the game he is like a blind squirrel in a barrel of acorns starving to death, he can't see what is in front of him. The ref will be on screen indicating a holding and he will say something like "Somebody must have jumped." Every time someone makes a good play, they are the best he's ever seen. Other than his one shining moment, just blather. I hit the mute button every time he starts to talk.

no matter who is playing, even with some of these terrible games he's been given on the SEC Network, his voice automatically gives every game that big-time epic feel. Besides, anybody is better than Fowler, can't stand that guy.

Great post. That's exactly how I feel about Brent musburger. His voice is college football to me and I think he will be a hall of famer one day if he already isn't. I can't stand Fowler either, he was a horrible replacement for Brent. Nessler and blackledge are the next best.

Fowler + Herbstreit will more than likely be calling the game, as they do the primetime ABC matchups now. Brent was moved to the SEC network last season and only does their primetime game on Saturday.
