assuming CBB feels we have a legitimate shot at winning the whole thing. But if he thinks we can’t win it all, then I say we don’t need the selection committee’s sympathy votes.

There’s a good chance that CBB needs to get in the tournament to save his job so he is more vested in it than anyone else.

Unfortunately, with the Big Dance’s model of inclusion not all of the best teams get into the Natty run. Many worthy teams get left out each year so as to let the conference champ of Division two teams in the tournament. History of making the tournament is also a factor.

No Division 2 teams make the NCAA D1 tournament.....never have never will.
All teams that make the NCAA are Division 1 teams.

Agreed, but will be disappointed in the NIT, but if we are there then we might as well win the whole thing (NIT). BTW, surely we will be one of the top seeds and best teams in the NIT. For the record, I think Clemson gets in the big dance this year.

If that is true and since I am convinced JK does indeed have insider information then I would say CBB will be retained and I am OK with that for now but I am going to keep expecting more of the same as this year and hope for small improvements.

Yes I am ok with moving on from BB if we don’t make the tournament. I am a flip flopper on CBB, and I am not proud of that fact.
